The Entertainment Industries Council, Inc. (EIC) annually presents the PRISM Awards, a nationally-televised awards show recognizing the accurate depiction of drug, alcohol and tobacco use and addiction in film, television, interactive, music, video, and comic book entertainment. The World Stupidity Awards work with credo that we're all stupid, some of us just need to have it pointed out. The Stupidity Awards were created in the year 2003 to salute achievement in ignorance and stupidity. The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) is the largest national Latino civil rights and advocacy organization in the U.S. NCLR created the ALMA Awards in 1995 as part of its strategy to promote fair, accurate, and balanced portrayals of Latinos in the entertainment industry.
